Travelling from Latvia to Russia

Hello to all Latvian MB owners.
First, sorry if this message is in the wrong place.
I have some questions about the big line of trucks and cars at terehova waiting to cross to Buratchki, Russia.
In 2009, I was in the line of cars for 15 hours in the first week of August.
I see that the Latvian Customs keep records of trucks waiting but not cars.
My big question is how are the lines of cars at the moment.
I plan to cross to Russia in the middle of August this year 2010.
Is the line getting bigger X-( or smaller 8-) these days ;-)?

And if you are wondering who I am, I am English, from London, with a W202 C230k. I have previously travelled by road to Russia one time from Finland (2005) and from Latvia (2007 and 2009). I have travelled over 200,000km in my car which I bought in 2000. I have enjoyed passing through your country (except for the police hiding in the village before the border) but luckily the first time I suspected something like this and was travelling slowly. Now I know where they hide.

Any help with up to date information on the border queues would be gratefully received.
