This car was on the cover of a 1000SGS brochure. It`s not really that spectacular. The only things that are different from a factory-fresh W126 are the new rims and a new set of bumpers and side skirts. If this car isn`t a US-version the headlights are different too. The US-headlights were very popular in the early 80`s and a lot of non-US version cars were fitted them because of their coolness.
At this stage SGS was still allowed to show the Mercedes-star. That party didn`t last long.

This car could have been an evolution of the above car. It has a lot more added to it though. The most eye-catching is the 24-gold trim package. Everything that used to be chrome has been gold plated. Even the rims have been done and they left the inner parts of the spokes white. Nice detail. The front bumper has 4 in stead of 2 fog lights and if you look carefully the truck has in integrated spoiler.
Note that the star has been replaced by an empty circle.
