Tas ir viss Zig, ko vari pateikt? :D
Ja prasa tīri manas domas, tad es jau kopš sezonas sākuma deklarēju, ka Merci un Pafets paņems abus titulus, citādi nevar būt. Ne jau stipruma ziņā, bet bija pienācis pēdējais laiks...

pēdējais, ne pēdējais, bet ja visā sistēmā iztrūkst kāds spēka posms/kaut kas nastrādā kā nākas, tad uz tituļiem nav ko cerēt :D

Karlīna Štāla parakstija līgumu ar Mercedes uz 5 gadiem. Viņa pārstāvēs šo kompāniju dažādos sviestainos čempionātos ar sviestainiem auto, bet gala rezultāts paredz dalību DTM!

Nezinu kā jūs, bet es sākšu skatīties šo sprotu :)

Vācu F3 par sviestainu es nenosauktu, pāris F1 "nenozīmīgi" pilotiņi ir absolvējuši šo sēriju.... Šis līgums Karlīnes autosportistes karjerā ir būtisks, bet nu žēl, ka tomēr salonautomobīļi... Harim tur labi gāja, domāju, ka Karlīnei ar būs ar laiku labi rezultāti

viens F1 darbonis nesen labi izteicās par DTM - sacīkšu sērija, kurā vecie F1 buki cīnās ar tiem jauniešiem, kuri nav sagaidījuši Rona, Frenka, Flavio zvanus...

Premiere of the Mercedes-Benz driver line-up for the 2008 DTM
with 200,000 spectators at the K�nigsallee in the centre of D�sseldorf
A crowd of 200,000 at D�sseldorf�s shopping street K�nigsallee attended the DTM�s start for the 2008 season. The DTM presentation one week prior to the season opener in Hockenheim, the third one in a row in D�sseldorf, attracted 17,000 spectators more than one year ago. For the first time in 2008, all nine Mercedes-Benz DTM drivers introduced themselves to a record crowd.

 Driving the AMG Mercedes C-Class: Paul di Resta, Jamie Green and Maro Engel drove the racing version of the AMG Mercedes C-Class around an 800-metre long temporary circuit. The pit crew of the M�cke Motorsport team showed precision work and record times in the pit stop competition.

 Safety first: For the DTM and other series, an 800-metre long circuit has been built at the K�nigsallee. It was surrounded by 1.500-metre long steel walls, 200 metres of concrete walls and 2.5 kilometres of fencing. 200 security staff members cared for the spectators� safety.

 Attractive DTM: For the third time in a row since 2006, D�sseldorf hosted the DTM presentation and thus holds the record for this event. Before that, the DTM season presentation had been held twice each in Hamburg (2004 and 2005) and in the amusement park Europapark Rust (2002 and 2003). The season premieres in 2000 and 2001 were held in Berlin and Hockenheim respectively.

 Racing atmosphere in the city: The drivers entertained the audience with engine sound. They signed autographs for the spectators around the circuit and in the paddock. Oldtimer demonstration laps including a Mercedes-Benz Kompressor from 1929, the pit stop competition with Maro Engel, when the M�cke Motorsport mechanics proved their perfect skills and live concerts of the German group Revolverheld and US-American singer Jennifer Paige rounded off the entertaining programme.

 Sportschau live from D�sseldorf: German channel ARD broadcast their regular Sunday�s show Sportschau live from the DTM presentation from 18:00 until 18:30 h. The show gave a foretaste to the ARD�s live broadcasts of the 2008 DTM season when they will show all 11 Saturday�s qualifyings from usually 13:30 until 14:30 h and all Sunday�s races from 13:45 until 15:20 h.
Representing the Mercedes-Benz driver team, five-time DTM Champion Bernd Schneider, six-time Grand Prix winner and DTM rookie Ralf Schumacher and racing lady Susie Stoddart summed up the event:

Every year, the programme has become more attractive and entertaining and after the big successes in 2006 and 2007 here in D�sseldorf we offered even more to the audience and my hand hurts from signing autographs.�

Ralf Schumacher (32/Germany), 2007 Trilux AMG Mercedes C-Class: �Never before I have experienced such an atmosphere in motor racing. This event exceeded everything I have heard before about the DTM presentation. This was also a great debut for myself.�

Norbert Haug, Vice President Mercedes-Benz Motorsport (live in the DTM press conference via TV from the Bahrain Grand Prix): �The third consecutive season premiere in D�sseldorf at the K�nigsallee was again a great hit � as my colleagues at site reported enthusiastically. It is good to see that the DTM with its drivers, teams and cars can produce such a great enthusiasm. It�s a pity that I wasn�t able to attend myself; however, I saw fascinating LIVE pictures here in Bahrain and of course I also watched the press conference live.�

New C 63 AMG ready for the off as the official Safety Car in the DTM
Affalterbach/Oschersleben � The new C 63 AMG will be at the start as the official Safety Car for the second DTM race of the season in Oschersleben (April 19/20, 2008). The top-of-the-range C-Class model with its 336 kW/457 hp AMG 6.3-litre V8-engine and modifications to the brakes, suspension, cooling and exhaust system is in perfect shape for its demanding task. The development and production of the C 63 AMG Safety Car was in the hands of specialists from the AMG development team and the AMG PERFORMANCE STUDIO.

The Safety Car operates under the aegis of the Deutscher Motor Sport Bund (DMSB � German Motor Sports Association), which has the overall responsibility for compliance with safety requirements under the rules of the DTM. The task of the C 63 AMG Safety Car is to ensure maximum safety both on and adjacent to the track in the event of an extreme situation occurring. On the instructions of the race organisers, Safety Car driver Peter Lux must place his car at the head of the DTM field and safely lead the cars around the circuit so that hazardous situations are kept under control.

This fast AMG V8 saloon is outstandingly equipped for its task: the AMGdeveloped, naturally aspirated eight-cylinder engine develops 336 kW/457 hp at 6800 rpm from a displacement of 6.3 litres, which means that it almost matches the performance level of the C-Class DTM cars. The maximum torque of 600 newton metres is generated at 5000 rpm. Power is transferred by the AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission, which has steering wheel shift paddles and automatic double-declutching during downshifts. For use in the DTM series, the C 63 AMG is equipped with a newly developed AMG sports exhaust system with a special sound design, providing a further acoustic treat for the fans at the trackside and following the race on TV.

High-tech cooling, suspension and braking from the world of motor sports. Reliable and sustained racetrack performance at the highest level is ensured by high-tech features derived from motor sports. In the C 63 AMG Safety Car these include a high-performance radiator, two engine oil coolers located on either side of the front apron and an additional, larger transmission oil cooler. The rear axle differential features cooling fins and a separate oil cooler. The best possible handling dynamics are provided by the C 63 AMG-specific three-link front suspension with a wider track, the AMG sports parameter steering, the AMG Performance suspension with a stiffer set-up and 3-stage ESP� with the sports function.
19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in a multi-spoke design with wide-base tyres in size 245/35 (front) and 265/30 (rear) ensure outstanding contact with the track surface. Excellent, fade-free deceleration is guaranteed by the high-performance AMG braking system. The front brakes have 380-millimetre composite brake discs with six-piston callipers, while 330-millimetre steel brake discs and fourpiston callipers are fitted at the rear; all the brake discs are internally ventilated and perforated. A mechanical, asymmetrical multi-disc locking differential ensures outstanding, slip-free traction.

Sophisticated warning and communication system on board. Apart from the DTM logos and the wider tyres, the array of lights on the roof of the DTM Safety Car is the major distinguishing feature versus the Standard C 63 AMG. The white, strobe-like flashing LED lights in the headlamps and tail lights have a neutral signalling function, and are permanently switched on while the car is on race duty. For communication with the race organisers the Safety Car is equipped with a sophisticated two-way radio system and TV monitor. The cockpit for Peter Lux and his co-driver is fitted with two bucket seats with 4-point seat belts, an especially grippy AMG Performance steering wheel in nappaleather/Alcantara and high-quality AMG carbon-fibre trim.

Mercedes-AMG has provided the DTM Safety Car on a continuous basis since 2000, and takes turns with Audi from race to race. In Formula-1 racing an SL 63 AMG is in operation as the Official F1� Safety Car, while a C 63 AMG Estate is used as the Official F1� Medical Car.
